ABOUT
PROCON, It’s part of the Consumer Protection System of the city
council of Porto Alegre/Brazil. Their job it’s to guarantee the
consumer rights and protect them against possible abuses of retailers and
companies. In order to expand the consumer denounces channel, delivering adequate experience for mobile users, we created an app with 3 main features:

A 3 steps complaint area, where you can send your complaint to Procon within 30 seconds
A Ranking with the most complaints companies of the city ( so you can make better decision in the moment of shopping ).
A tip area, to be aware of your rights in the moment of your purchase.

In the first 30 days 41% of total complaints made to PROCON went mobile.

App Identity

The first step was to set up the app visual identity. Although PROCON it´s a very known governamental agency in Brazil, it lacked a official visual identity, presenting more than 1 logo variation depending the channels the agency operated. So as a start for the app development, we created a modern and clean logo, maintaining the older logo concept, to increase its recognition.

Althoug it was created just for the app, It ended up being selected to be the official PROCON logo.

Two platforms, the same experience

Aiming to reach the broadest mobile audiences as possible, the target was Google Android and Apple iOS, the most used mobile platforms at the south of Brazil. Besides folowing the unique and specific design guidelines for this different mobile environments, one major concern was to keep the experience as concise as possible, with the same look and feel, independent of the platform in use.
